13 year-old girl from northern India died after falling from a rooftop while being chased down by monkeys
UTTAR PRADESH: Police said Wednesday that a 13 year-old girl from northern India died after falling from a rooftop while being chased down by monkeys. A troop of monkeys attacked the teenage as she was taking her clothes off the rooftop of her house in Muzaffar Nagar state in Uttar Pradesh. We are the monkey catcher team and we are also looked this incident.
The Press Trust of India was told by police that the girl tried to flee the scene after falling from the roof. Doctors declared her dead upon her arrival at the hospital. This isn't an isolated incident in which conflict between humans or monkeys has been fatal in India. As humans have encroached on their forest habitats, the problem of monkeys wandering into houses and sometimes biting and attacking people is centuries-old.
A second incident took place in 2018, when an infant boy died from being bitten and taken from his mother in Uttar Pradesh. Two tourists were also hurt and attacked in Agra that same year. Three monkeys attacked a man trying to enter his house in a viral video by Vrindavan, UP last year.
To address the rising conflict between monkeys in Delhi, the Indian parliament allocated 50 million rupees ($PS500,000) in March. Delhi saw 950 instances of monkeys biting human beings in 2018, with MPs and bureaucrats having to deal with simians.
According to Indian Express, Delhi's five-year plan included the following: estimating the monkey population, understanding how they move and fit them with radio-collars; identifying conflict hotspots; using scientific methods for sterilization; and training forest staff and municipal officials in conflict management.
