HP government has sterilized 1.57 lakh monkeys in eight sterilisation centers

The Delhi government has sterilized 1.57 lakh monkeys in eight sterilisation centers of the forest department. This is part of its ongoing efforts to help farmers and combat the monkey menace. This information was provided by Govind Thakur, Forest Minister, at a workshop on "Human Wildlife Conflict" on Tuesday. Minister said that the forest department would train people to capture monkey catcher s. For this, a Rs 1,000 incentive was offered.
