Because the municipal corporation has expressed their helplessness in handling the problem, some RWAs have decided to take it upon themselves to hire monkey catchers, while others are completely clueless about how to find the monkeys.

Harjinder Saroha, president of RWA Sector C, Vasant Kunj said he had apprised the South Delhi Municipal Corporation of the issue several times, but to little avail. According to an official, monkey catchers were previously hired on a contract basis, and were paid Rs. 1,200 for each monkey they caught. He said, "But it's difficult to keep the ape catcher for even one year." Two monkeys were spotted at the Minto Road headquarters for the municipal corporations. Many councillors from the north and the south of civic organizations without power for hours.
